Thank you for replying. If I could get the main email address changed, then I would keep the board as is. Right now, I am unable to login and get access to my board. How would I notify the administrator of Aimoo? I'm sure I missed this somewhere down the line. Thank you again.

If you are going to start over, do you mean re do the community you already have or set up a new one?

Can you view the forum you set up, is it still active and can you log in?

If you are setting up a new community then just register a new id and start from there, otherwise the admin will need to look into your profile and change the email addy to the one you want to use.

Topic :   I need to delete board and start over

OKay, I need to delete my board and start over. The problem is I deleted my email address, and the email account is no longer valid. I don't even remember what email address I used. My user name is RockWife and I created a board for musicianswives. I couldn't devote time to the board until now, and I need to start over. PLease help, sorry for the inconvenience.

As Karrier said, Aimoo started running from 2001. Are you sure your username is ros? We have changed the password for 'ros'. Please confirm your username and tell us. Or we suggest you register with a new account to the forum H2O.

SUCCESS in receiving the email.;
NOW we have another problem.

Going back to the beginning, I used to be an avid participant on the forum H2O.
My pseudonym for years was "Ros".
I posted on H2O as "Ros" from about 1996 until a couple years ago. But now I forgot my old password.

So now you successfully emailed me at atlas@cableone.net.
But guess what? When I checked the profile, that guy is NOT me!
That person is Vincent Sellers, a male, 1984-03-09, and registered 2005-01-20.
I'm female and I'm not Vincent!

Now he probably will not be able to post on Aimoo.
You better go back and fix his log-in. And he is NOT at email atlas@cableone.net.

I guess I better forget my old "Ros" log-in--evidently it has been lost.
Please try to fix Vincent Sellers' log-in for him if you can.

Sorry for all the trouble--but how would I know my Ros log-in was lost?

For SOME REASON, your email also did not come to ros@xjw.com.
Is it possible that Aimoo is being blocked by my service provider? They do have a very powerful spam filter.

Okay, could you please change my account email to atlas@cableone.net.
That's a different service provider.
When you do that, I'll try again.

In the USER HEADING (which I still want a preference to remove), you have added the new messages notification (see image).  This is a nice addition for some.

You don't really need to redundantly state "no new messages for you (0)" or "4 new messages for you (4)".  Make it shorter: "new messages = 4".

Also, it does not work correctly.  Look in my inbox and you will see my test message.  Yet the notification states zero new messages.

No settings were modified. We've had others having the same problems. Just forget it. Obviously after a month of this it can't be fixed. I'm just glad we didn't pay for this.

Board Meltdown !!

This message is really from JM_Runs.  I am
using this this topic becuase the new topic button does not work and I
cannot start a new thread. 

My own board has gone of line.  I don't know if it's just my board, or a group of boards, or all boards.

About a week ago one of the DNS entries that pointed to my board stopped working.
i.e. The access by board number stopped working. 

http://www.aimoo.com/forum/freeboard.cfm?id=999999          (Where the 999999 would be the board number)

I was still able to access the board by the DNS sub domain method:

http://Board_Name.aimoo.com/                   (Where Board_Name would be the short DNS name of the board)

Now neither work.  Board off line and showing

Aimoo Online Community Request error ! This page has been sent to Administrator.

  • The error may be caused by Network.
  • The error may be caused by the invalid variable.
  • Date and Time:
    Tue Sep 02 2008 14:54:57 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)
I suspect this may affect more boards than just our community.

Also new topic button in this support forum is not working.  Same error.  (How I got to post this is my secret.)

Please email me when it's up again, and post an let us know what went wrong this time.
