Servers 2 and 3 are being worked on to fix all problems.
Aimoo moderators like myself have no control over this problem, aimoo admins have been contacted and are working on it right now.
Please post here with your concerns / complaints.
Diamond members can use the group emial syatem in control panel and you can also add a message into the forums header html section to let people know what is going on, maybe add a link to this thread as well.

31st August 2009, server 2 and 3 are down again, please use this thread to reply / post about it rather than starting a new one. Thanks.
Servers 1 and 4 look to be ok as of 13-15 UK time.

I appreciate mods like yourself can do nothing, but I am seriously concerned with the lack of resilience this demonstrates here at Aimoo. Please keep us updated.
On a more constructive note, would it not be an idea to 1) issue a email notification of such service outages and B) Advise users by email that there will be no technical help available (rather than letting them find out only when things have gone pearshaped)?
Ok so atleast they have been contacted thanks for that.Now what they do from there will be on them.But I think people already have decided.That push form MSN gave us all the confidence that we can move a group and survive.
also as the one person asked in another thread...... it this the normal or just a once in a blue moon thing????? I am from MSN and up til today, we have had very few problems... So I hope this is just a rare one.. thanks.. tick
I can and can manage any of my communities that are on server2, but my control panel might be on server 1 also as my main community is, if you can access your panel then send a group email if you are a diamond community to contct your members telling them of the problem, if you are not diamond then that option is not available to you. (which is a pity)
Thank you for sharing this bit of information, I was just letting the Members in my Forum know (by e-mail) that Aimoo was probably working on and/or updating some things, sigh . . . But obviously my Group must be on Server 2, as I cannot log into my Forum at all - all I get is the dreaded white page . . .
But hmmm, it is hard to believe that all of the Administrators are away until the 31st? I thought maybe that "message" was about them actually having to focus on other more immediate stuff, and so not being available for PM's for a week . . . Do you think they gave them all the week off?, lol . . . Here's to hoping that there are one or two Administrators still minding the store!
yes... its very difficult... the aimoo admns should have coordinated/scheduled things a little better... with the formal announcement from MSN that the MSN Groups would be gone by 2/21... they should have anticipated a higher than normal volume of activity here... and with more activity comes more problems.
To re-iterate what others have said... 1. We need some method of communication with the Aimoo Admins when something like this happens. 2. We need a method of emailing our members when this sort of thing happens. 3. We need some sort of back-up infrastructure in place so that if a single server goes down, the other server steps in and...
That all being said... as everyone else, I am frustrated... looked at several sites and finally selected aimoo, did the migration from MSN, built a lot of new content into the Aimoo Forum, and invited my old MSN members to join.... then blammo... server down, no admins available, and a lot of confused and angry members to placate when and if this gets resolved.
Meanwhile - I think a lot of us will be looking at other message board forums that have a better technical framework...
I am sorry to say that this is kinda the "norm" here at Aimoo. It happened last month and lasted for 3 days. We could access our groups but all posts needed to be approved first. It was a mess.
I am looking for a backup place to send my group to if there are future problems, and there will be. At least the members will have a place to go to when this happens again, and it will.

This just plain sucks! I am so tired of constant 'issues' with aimoo! I've had my board since november 1 and it seems there is constantly some issue going on here. And now not even knowing if aimoo is on top of this major issue right now as all we get is a notice that everyone is gone for a week! Can someone recommend a more reliable forum service than this???
Over 3/4 of my members have emailed me with issues on extremely slow loading (up to 8-10 minutes on high speed) of the forum WHEN they can actually get the page to load. Also red X's instead of graphics and pictures that are loaded through Aimoo instead of a private host. Intermitant posting issues when they can get on the site (they press the reply to post button and nothing happens until you finally end up copying your message and pasting it into a new reply).
These issues are happening on all browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox (firefox actually seems worse for most users right now)
I know the admins are away for this week but this is crazy. I convinced members that Aimoo was a wonderful server that seemed to be very stable. If these are continuous problems can you please let us know?
Fyi ....if you go to the aimoo homepage....you should be able to access your aimoo mailbox and control panel...not that this is any big help or anything...but it may help some people...but most members won't realize this to check their mailboxes...server is probably ran by Qwest.....go figure.
all i can say is this is very aggravating to say the least, but no matter where u go, there will always be problems. BOTH of my boards are on server 2. i cant access either one of them. i also know that alot of members wether it be on mine or any of the others will more than likely leave. im hoping none of my members leave, but it is inevitable. i do appreciate everything the aimoo admins and mods do to try to make these boards the best they can be. thanks for posting this kerrier. it was a step in the right direction..........
Msn had its problems to but they were fixed in a day.I really thought this looked and sounded like a great site because I looked at several.Some were just way to complicated.I hope this is resolved soon but I like others cannot believe that all administrators went on vacation at the same time.So very unprofessional.
This whole thing has given me a migraine. I also find it appalling that ALL Admins are on vacation or what ever they are doing, and won't return until the 31st. So much for being a Diamond Community
I can't get into either of my groups and last night I was having X instead of pics, I thought MSN was bad at times but Aimoo is just as bad if not worse.
Thanks Karrier for informing us and you just happen to be the one to cop it from us at the moment and it is not personally at you it is at the group.
Well i am just relived ..i just checked and found out i am on server 2 ...Phewww after having computer problems last week i thought it was my computer again.its a bit of a pain as i have had some interest from some maybe future members.hope i dont lose them!!!!!only one of my groups i can get into is the one i have just finished putting all info on and the one i was hoping to work on today i can't get into.so i hope i dont have to wait another 4 days...
