If the community you are a member of or posting to, Is a Diamond Community and has images enabled then here is an introduction into adding pictures / images to your posts.
I copied this over from my forum.

PICTURES. You can now add pictures  when you start a new topic,  or when you are replying to a post by using the advanced reply function you get the advanced reply editor. ( you need to click reply to get this. )

look for the  icon next smilies (ringed)

this brings up an upload box where you click choose and browse your pc for the picture you want to add,  then  click  the  upload  button  and  when  you  get  the  sucess  box  just  push  insert  and  the  image  will  appear  in  your  post.

Click choose and then browse through your files to your desired image file.

Then Click upload and wait for the success box. (you might not get a sucess box, so when the image url has been added to the  image url textfield it has finished uploading)

Click ok

And then click insert making sure the image url text field is filled in (this will happen after upload sucess screen)
You can add image description and title if you want.

and your images will magically appear.

If you have an online picture gallery like Photo Bucket you need to add the [ img] image url [/img] tags directly into the text box or 'Direct link' tags into the picture upload url text field this is the  2nd link in Photobucket..

Hope that helps.

Special thanks to Karrier for guiding our members. We have put the thread at the top of the sub-category so that new members could find the solutions to insert images as quickly as possible.

Related question--is it at all possible to make images "clickable"?  Parameters as they are set now default to the "click for full size image".  I have a link category set up for members of my board, and would like for their banners to be "clickable".

Thank you for your time.

After inserting the image to the post, click the image, then click "Insert/edit link" to insert.

Please give it a try and contact us for any further feedback.

I have tried to add photos and when I click reply it says I have to be a Diamond member, my members are asking why they cannot add images. Is this correct that we have to be a Diamond Member? Aline

But for a diamond upgrade I need to pay am I correct? So  my question is, can we upload photos without it costing us any money? If so, how do we do it, if we follow your instructions it says we have to be a diamond member... Help?

You can add images via photobucket by clicking the img tagline (4th line of code next to your picture) and pasting directly into the advanced text editor like this

The code for the above looks like this [ IMG]http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p198/mighty-doctor/otto-tall-man.jpg[/IMG] without the gap between the [ and the img tag.

Yes, only Diamond Forum could upload images from local computer. But you could uplaod images from Internet or use your PhotoBucket account.

Believe it or not, This is the only thing I know how to do here. I keep all my images in Photobucket, and I find that just copy and paste, is all I have to do.

Hi Folks~ I'm Tiger Dragon Rainbow of Siggiie-nificance Out Of The Closet- I migrated from MSN to Aimoo...

Anyway, I've found here in Aimoo that if I take and upload the pics/graphics I wish to use directly into my Profile's Photo-Album, I can use them by copy/pasting the URL when I'm adding  a siggie or whatever to my post.

When anyone adds images from "Their" own PC files. They eat up more of your allowed space/storage room.
So would seem to be for those that can't afford to pay, like my self. Photobucket or other image hosting sites would be the best way to allow images/tags/graphics in to your messages.
I havent read anything on this thread saying anyone HAS to upgrade in order to be able to add any images to their posts. Just differant ways to go about it is all. Seems to be allowing members to upload any images from their own PC files will & can eat up your sites total storeage space allowed. And will eat that space up fast.
Hence the reason Aimoo is offering Pay accounts to allow for more storeage room for your group on to their servers. More work for them & more of "their" space being used.

So it's really easy folks, take a deep breath. 1. Stay with a free account and use other image hosting sites like Photobucket.  2. Look in to any of the Pay to use plans Aimoo has to offer, in order to get more space for storeage.

   Hope this helps.

I don't know why they want to charge for this either.  But if you take and upload the pics/graphics you wish to use directly into your Profile's Photo-Album, you can use them by copy/pasting the URL when you're adding  a siggie or whatever to your post.

Yes I find that Photobucket is much easier than what we had on msn anyway..First you had to click on the icon, then click on my computer, then click to browse for photo, find your photo, then click on add photo and then wait 5 minutes for it to load lol..

I think if you give Photobucket a chance you will really like it..sign up, create your albums and then when you want to post here on Aimoo you click on the photobucket icon and there are your albums right there for you to choose from..pick your photo, insert and voila! So much easier.. I would give it a try before you absolutely rule it out.

Photo bucket is the best free way to store and insert images IMO.

I wrote this 'how too' thread back in April after aimoo had a major....how shall I say it.....balls up Upgrade, and we had a new advanced  editor added, so I put the #1 post together for my members and c&p'ed it here.

Photo bucket is free and my advice is this, if you get a PB account, make sure you make it private if you don't want people to gain access to it, you just go to your account settings and change the account from public to private.

I have a PB pro account and have a much larger image storage capacity and the adlinks in the html / bbcode don't exist either.

okay lol I've been confused about a lot of things in my attempt to create my group on Aimoo and trial and error is creating results with the exception of "inserting images" to a post?! sighhhhhhhh

When I click on "New Topic" and the message board opens my tool bar DOES NOT look like this one below???

I don't half these options on MY toolbar would someone please explain to me at grade school level lol why that is and how or what I have to do to have one as the one shown above.... Would so appreciate any feed back, thank you!
