I seem to be missing my smilies in my editor area, only the aimoo ones are showing.  In my control area they are all in there.

Do you think Admin could fix mine also please.  When he returns.

I found the problem, I wasn't signed in with Chrome...so I guess the permissions in this category is not set for non users as it was in the Trendy Version Help thread.

So just went into pommerlis's thread about the CSS, and in that thread I could see the reply in Chrome, but still in this particular thread, I can't.  Again I am in IE7 to post..really weird..maybe it is Chrome after all.

Babs, I just refreshed the page in Chrome..like I said I have XP  This is all I see there, also if I hit the edit box there is no edit for me in Chrome, along with no reply or Quote box.

This is what I see only, I had to come into IE7 to post this snap shot for you...odd isn't it?  Trendy is not working right in some computer systems it seems.

I have IE7 on XP...both linked sites worked for me properly with no scroll and dragable windows.

I tried it on Chrome also..the "Test Site" link, it did  not work properly, I had scroll and not able to drag window back and forth properly

The actual "Trendy" site, worked for me in Chrome with no scrolling and dragable window.

Please also know that he did only testing to get the 100% useable windows, he did not tweak the top graphic. He was mainly showing what the side panel and boards would look like in both links.  I think in his removal of some boards on the "Test" site, he didn't put the 100% back in...I'm sure he will fix that, so it does work in Chrome, FF, and Safari.

So Karrie and Dev, did you try that site, the second link in Blaze's post also?

Also noted: why the edit. In Chrome I have no reply or edit function on this site?

  • Question about the CSS function

Looks really nice pommerlis. I guess the help you got from Blaze did the job for you. I do hope you show him also, what you did...he'd be proud of your job on that site.

    Well done.

  • Where Are the New Skins?
    Posted on 17 days ago
There are lots of different Skins for Aimoo, not just the Skins you view through your control panel.  Might also do a search in google for Aimoo Skins.  If you don't find what you like there.

It has been noted Karrie of the removal of the link.  Blaze is working now, he does have a job also. Only thing put in the test site was a discussion on why things could not be fixed, since we knew it could.

The link is now posted in the Aimoo site as per the link in Blazes post #25 on this thread.  Everyone should have a chance to click the buttons and see in real time the changes that take place with Percentage vs Pixels.

Pommerlis..yes many things can be done through the CSS editor.  For those who know how, it is an asset.  For those who don't..it is no help to them to fix their sites as viewable to everyone.

I'm sure Blaze would be more then happy to help you.  That is truly all we want to do.  Make Aimoo Trendy all that it can and should be to all users.

Oh Karrier..if so on the tiling, why am I see the above graphic on this site tiling? I personally have not edited in the Trendy version yet?

Ah huh, I see now..guess I need a test site to play with also.  Well maybe if this all gets sorted. LOL

The point is Dev, the forums here at Trendy can, and should be set with either option.  Note can...it can be done so that you have the option of percentage at 100% or any percentage.

When set like that you can view the pages as viewed in Classic. It also give those with lower resolutions the chance to view the forum properly.

Dev, I was stating only if there was no choice, and I do agree that there should be the choice of setting the Percentage, as in the classic version.

The point is.. 100%/and or percentages, gives all monitors the ability to not scroll.

If set at just PX, then no matter what, all monitors do not have that option.  As is noted with the way Trendy is set now. at PX. It is strictly set right now for high resolution monitors.

Low resolution monitors, have to scroll all over the place, the setup is seen totally different.

Just change your monitor setting to  ((>Right click on Desktop< >click on Properties< click on settings< >use the slider and set it back< to 800 x 600 or 1024 X786.))  Then come back and look.

You will see my point.  If Aimoo wants everyone to use Aimoo, then it should have the option to be set at 100%

Jim, when forums are set at 100% that then fits all screen resolutions. No scrolling. Unless the graphic in the Header Logo is over 500 px wide. Then if you want to drag your window down smaller, it will stop it from being able to do a complete drag down.

I often have more then one window open at a time, side by side. With a 100% it is possible, with Px it is not!  That's why all forums should be set at 100%.  User friendly for any screen resolution.

There are Skins out there that don't cause that problem with fighting with the Skin editor. They work on 100% too, and make the forums uniform and useable.

So if this is what you are looking for..then vote for the 100% at the top of the page, in the poll.

One point in reference to backgrounds. Once CSS is fixed and working, you should beable to place a proper background in to show, without hurting the width. It will make it more user friendly set at 100%, and should take care of the problem of only certain browsers being able to add content properly.

Not everyone has high resolution. Monitors, and Web TV, or phone access is limited due to the PX setup.

The advantages of 100% out weighs PX.

I too think Members should have a choice as was done in Classic Version.  If not possible in this Trendy Version, then setting to a !00% is a must for read ability, and viewing.
