A quick author search feature would be nice to have.

Currently, you can go to SEARCH, then click "Author" and type in your own username to see a list of all your own threads that you started.  However, a one-click button to perform the search would be nice to have.

A super-enhancement would be to search for all threads which you have replied to.

Thank you

RE:Author Search

I am sure we used to be able to search for all posts by member name and get all their posts, I just did mine as author and only get one page of results going back to January 2008, is there no way of searching back further?

The search feature doesnt work very well, I have just typed 'loadflite' into it and got no results even though a new thread has 'loadflite' in the subject line, so I tried 'for sale' and only got a very old thread and there is a new thread with for sale in both subject line and the actual post.

How does the search engine actually work?

Subject line, subject, or both?

Or not very well at all.smiley6

My forum has 1000's of answers to questions on varied technical subjects and general maintainance queries, it would be good to know when someone types 'help finding tyres' they are given the posts that answer their questions, we have posts detailing places to contact already so why don't they show?

I have just tried 'perkins engines' and got no results, this search should show more than nothing, it should yeild quite a few results!!!

Please look into this.

Please look into this.

In order to avoid time wasting when you search, it only shows you the last 30 threads. Please select the detailed date to search the thread when there are many threads. When searching by the topic, it will scan all your threads' titles with the word. And we have searched your community by the word 'loadflite' and  'perkins engines', it comes out some threads. Please give it another try.
