Have been trying to put a link in my sig.  Is this possible?  I have got the image, but can't get it to link using UBBcode.

Thanks

I don't think you know what I mean.

Here is my code so far,

[L=http://www.forum2.aimoo.com/harrypotterrpg
[/L]

Why is it not working.

Thanks.

Can I ask if are you trying to get the image to appear as your signature, or are you trying to use your image to link to another website?

Why is the URL that you have as your signature now ... (http://www.forum2.aimoo.com/harrypotterrpg
[IMG
)

... send the user to this URL? --->

http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6517/harrypotteruq9.jpg[/IMG]
(which is causing an HTTP 404 Not Found error, because of the UBB code in the URL)

Are you trying to get that image to show in your signature, or are you trying to use that image as a link to your Aimoo forum?  We can't help you debug, if we don't know where the problem lies.

I don't know what wrong with you but plainly that was not the code I want to work.  That's how it appears,  I typed it how you suggested it.  If raintree, went to edit my post you would see the code I actually typed in there.

Thanks RiverRatz for having some sense.  Yes, I am trying to have this picture that will link to a Aimoo Forum.

 Yes, I am trying to have this picture that will link to a Aimoo Forum.

You will not be able to anchor your hyperlink using UBB code. That can only be done using HTML, and I tried every way I could last night, and was unable to get the image to show as the anchor, even in the text editor.

It will not show the image.

My suggestion would be to first put your picture, then the link following ...

So you can see the code ... replace the red {} brackets on the ends, with the corresponding blue [] brackets to apply the code.

Admin, what did you do to get it to work? Even in the HTML editor, using the A HREF tag and the IMG SRC tag, I couldn't get the image to show ... although the link is anchored correctly.

The UBBCode for SystemMaster is as below, (just add a space for IMG)
http://www.forum2.aimoo.com/harrypotterrpg

You may have a try and check if it works for you.

No, the code for SystemMaster MUST have an anchor in it, so that clicking on the image will take them to a URL. Not that the link works ... because of a syntax error in the URL

The link should direct to http://forum2.aimoo.com/harrypotterrpg
NOT http://www.forum2.aimoo.com/harrypotterrpg

As you can see in reply #3 of this thread, I have already demonstrated that I could get the [img] code to work. Anchoring it to a URL is another matter.

How did you anchor the URL to the image, is my question.

Reply to RiverRatz,

Sorry to have confused you. This is the UBBCode for  SystemMaster, (add spaces to it)
