I am trying to upload my old banner. When I try to do so, using the simple edit control, I get the top of the banner above each category, rather than at the top of the board. When I use the Advanced control, I am prompted to complete a Color Field - even after I have done, which means that I am in a loop of

Try using the Customize HTML to insert your banner.

That was the first thing I tried. What I get is a read out of the path to my banner displayed across the top of the board, and if I put the path between square bracketted "img" and " /img" what I get is a read out of the path displayed between square bracketted img /img.   I know it can be done because I did it, but then made some changes which destroyed the skin so it became useless and when I tried to get back to what I had the format for editing the skins appears to have changed.  I have also tried editing the image as discussed elsewhere but neither does that work. Any more ideas?

Square brackets are used with UBB code. HTML tags are < and >. Can you try replacing the square brackets with the corresponding HTML tags and see if that corrects the problem?

And a problem I encountered early on with the skins that caused fatal errors, was not putting the # symbol in front of the hex numbers of the color codes. I went through 5 skins before I became aware of that issue.
