Aimoo has yet to replace the old ratings system.NO FORUMS ARE BEING REVIEWED AT PRESENT.Until the new system is in place, please do not expect a reply to any requests for reviews. As a mod, I cannot lock this forum to prevent you from posting. But posting a request is pointless at the moment. Please check back later.Until the new system is in place, you could use the time to let your forum grow and develop. In the meantime, here are a few points to bear in mind:A forum will not make it to the showcase if it is a free forumFree forums cannot be customised much. If you're wondering what you can do with a diamond community, compare your free forum with any of the forums on the showcase. The answer is A LOT.A quiet or empty forum is going to struggle tooIf your forum has only a handful of members and only a few posts, you may want to let it grow before asking for a review. Experience shows that forums with more members tend to do more for their members and have a better atmosphere. These are things that may be taken into account when reviewing your forum.Unique forums will fare betterThere are thousands of forums out there, on Aimoo and elsewhere. What sets yours apart? To be frank, if your forum is called "Jim's place" and consists of 5 categories: "Announcements", "General chat", "Sport", "News" & "Games", I have to ask, what are you trying to achieve? Why would anyone visit your forum? Where is the appeal? You get the idea.Look for something that makes your forum unique - do you have a fan site dedicated to a specific Artist/Actor/Comedian? Integrate an Aimoo forum into your existing site: you will get more members, and you are bound to do better when your forum is rated by Aimoo.I say all this having seen over the years many people asking for reviews of totally ordinary forums. I feel like saying, "What do you want me to review? It's nothing special." Look at other forums first. Try and be objective. Are theirs better than yours in any way? Then make yours better.Learn HTML!There are lots of sites out there providing HTML tutorials. Unless your site has a well customised HTML header and footer, YOU WILL DO BADLY WHEN YOUR FORUM IS RATED. If possible, learn javascript too, but don'toverloadyour pages with javascript gizmos, since they slow browsers down.Oh and don't for goodness' sake start with a forum with a gazillion different categories. Slim it down. Most people will die of boredom before they get past the second screenful of categories. Zzzzzzz....
