Can someone PLEASE tell me how to hide my IP address?  Make my profile private?  I also need to update my email address and cannot find a place anywhere (edit profile, control panel, etc.) that gives me such an option.

I've read through several threads and FAQ's but still cannot figure this out.  If I can't hide my IP address, I'm outta here.

either via the navigation link

, choose the right hand control panel




the click the profile tab on left and then untick the location checkbox



if you untick all the check box's then nothing will be shown to anyone but yourself and the board owner.

Not sure about isp number though, will have a look about.

 I can't see any way your isp can be hidden by yourself (unless you own the forum) isp's can be hidden by site owners and admins (if they have permissions to do so) through their control panels, the isp's will still be viewable to the owner and admins but no one else, thats how I have my forum set.

Here on the help forum I can see isp's but only because I am a moderator, others cannot, when logged in to your community if it's set to show isp's on the who's on list then everyone can see but that can be switched off too.

Sure. Go to your right-hand control panel > profile > edit profile. Change your email address there.

When I go to my (right hand) control panel, there is no "Edit Profile" on my "Profile" drop down menu like shown in your picture above.  I have "My Profile", "Profile Visibility" and "Modify Password" - is this what I should be seeing?  When I click on "My Profile" (tab in control panel), another window opens to my profile with "Edit" by my username.  I click on "Edit" and it takes me back to the Control Panel with the missing "Edit Profile" tab.

 Not sure if there is an option for owners to disable members edit profile link, don't see why there would be that option.

I will have a look about in my control panel to see if there is, if not hopefully the admin here will sort it out for you.

Have you tried the left hand control panel > then the profile tab at the top and then edit next to your user name, brings up the new control panel but on the edit profile page that you don't have the link for.

This is where you can edit email addy and other info on your account.

Owner doesn't have the option to disable members to eidt the profile. And we checked your profile is available to edit. Would you please tell us which browser are you using? Currently Aimoo is compatable with IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera browsers.

Hi,

I'm using IE 6 - I followed steps in reply #7 but the "edit profile" tab in my control panel is still missing.  Am going to check on another computer to see if my computer is the problem.  Thanks,

Problem solved.  For some reason, my computer was the cause of the "missing" edit profile tab.  Go figure.  Thanks for all your help.
