Aimoo Technicians -

I would point out that your Custom Skin function is NOT working.  I devoted many hours to create a new board on your Beta system "Alexei Yagudin's Meeting Place" with a custom skin since I grew impatient waiting for the return of my old board "Alexei Yagudin's Place". I could not access the new board today due to your "optimization" process only to discover that when my new board returned the categories were still intact but the skin was NOT my custom skin but one of your default skins.  I have tried to apply my custom skin several times to my board but this funtion does not work and returns me once again to the default community skin which you had selected. This is also true of the other custom skins I have created recently.  I would repeat I do not want the default community skins - please restore the custom skin application function as soon as possible.

I am not with Aimoo staff, but may be able to help.

Go to Sitemap on the bottom menu and go to your skinz library.

Find a skin that looks somthing like what you want to get to.  Use the COPY button. 

This makes a copy of that skin go to the section called "My Skinz" on the SiteMap menu.  Hit the copy only once, or maybe twice, but don't keep hitting it because it will just dump a bunch of skinz into your 'My Skinz' file.

You may see more than one skin in the My Skinz.   You can preview them to see what you have.

You can also move the board from one skin to another.

For the moment just use the Edit on the skin you wish to change. 

You can make various changes. 

If you have another window open with your board in it, you can test them on the fly by hitting refresh.

For changes to a skin to affect your board your board has to be using that skin.

If you want you can move the board from one skin to another skin that is listed in your My Skinz secton.

Thank you for restoring some semblance of the board skin which I intended.  Unfortunately the forum is in a "narrow community width" appearance which I have tried to adjust.  Please note that on this board (alexeiyagudin'splace) the community width function does not change any of the skins which I have created.

As noted above I spent many hours creating a new board - Alexei Yagudin's Meeting Place.  As I indicated above, the categories after the recent "optimization" have returned but under a Community default skin I cannot change.  I have created a new skin "alexeiyagudinsmeetingplace_skins" which I have tried to apply to this new board and cannot.  I am sorry to be writing once again about this issue but I would appreciate your looking into this.  I have given up hope that the threads from my old "Alexei Yagudin's Place" will be restored and therefore have created a new board at Aimoo - Alexei Yagudin's Meeting Place.

We are making adjustments with the "skins" section. Your customization skins have been restored and will be shown asap. Many thanks for your enquiries.  In addition, the threads from your old forum will be restored as well.

We also adding more features and customizations step by step. Please have faith in us that we will provide a wonderful message board to you.

Thank you for your help in this matter.  I have applied the new skins to both boards and I am very happy with the results.  Your assurance that the old threads will be restored is very welcome news.  I know the optimization process has taken time but I would like to say I am very excited about the new Beta format - now that it is working to some degree I still believe that Aimoo will be the best message board system available.  I have investigated ezboard and proboards and was not interested in switching over.  ezboards new Beta version "yuku" is simply not as user friendly as Aimoo will be.
