I don't think users should be able to change the sequence of messages.  I think it would slow down the forum and cause confusion if y9u had 4 people in the same thread with different sequences.  You wouldn't be able to say "Post 252" in the Entertainment thread because it would be different for different people.

I can never remember which is which, so which ever it is that sorts it with new posts at the bottom.
