WHEN I REGISTERED I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING I WAS ACCEPTED. WHEN I TRY TO GO TO THE CHAT ROOM ALL I GET IS A SAD FACE SYMBOL SAYING I HAVE TO BE APPROVED FIRST. NOW WHAT DO I DO?? TEXASSCENT

is this happening in a forum you created or one you've joined?
If it's one you created, have you asked for the chat room to be activated? this isn't done automatically, it has the be requested by the forum owner via the control panel.
If it's not your own forum, have you checked that the owner has activated their chat room and that you are a full member of the forum? Some forums set things so a request to join has to be accepted befoire you can get in.
I created the chat room for our gruop, and everyone can get in but me, what am I doing wrong, sometimes I get a black box, other times I get a coffee cup and it never loads... HELP if you can.. Tee~
We're having the same problem. Ours started last night. Hopefully they'll get it fixed. This seems to be an ongoing problem. We either get booted out of chat or can't get in at all. Is it possible there's to much on the server & they need to look for a different one? I don't know enough about this stuff to know how it really works.

It seems to me like there are an awful lot of questions on why the chat rooms are not working but no answers from the administrators. As usual, they are leaving the mods to take all the flack & not even giving them answers. All most of us want is just an answer that the problem is at least being worked on.
It doesn't sound to me like they are even telling you mods, you're as much in the dark on this as we are.
I have to access my group thru AOL and the chatroom will not work when I am on AOL. Now what? I am getting so frustrated I may just close up shop! TeddieFGFE
